Tristan Lohner

SCROLL

Paired-back yet playful

French designer and cabinetmaker, Tristan Lohner began his career with an Arts and Crafts diploma in cabinetmaking under Bernard Daude, the cabinetmaker for Pierre Paulin for Mobilier National. He then joined the School of Decorative Arts in Paris, where he studied product design under Jean-Marie Massaud. Besides being a designer, Lohner works as the director of the RBC Design Center, a large design concept store located in Montpellier.

The work of Lohner displays a paired-back and at times playful aesthetic showcased in the Montholon design that lends its name from the famous Square Montholon, located in the 9th Arr. in Paris, a recreational space from which Lohner carries fond childhood memories.
